### sec.12 Decision on application for a licence
The chief executive must consider an application for a licence and—
grant the licence, with or without conditions; or
refuse to grant the licence.
However, the chief executive must refuse to grant the licence if the chief executive is not satisfied the applicant is a suitable person to hold the licence.
If the chief executive decides to grant the licence, the chief executive must—
grant the licence for the term stated in the application for the licence; and
give the applicant the licence.
If the chief executive decides to grant the licence with a condition or to refuse to grant the licence, the chief executive must give the applicant a QCAT information notice for the decision within 14 days after the decision is made.

(sec.12-ssec.1) The chief executive must consider an application for a licence and— grant the licence, with or without conditions; or refuse to grant the licence.
(sec.12-ssec.2) However, the chief executive must refuse to grant the licence if the chief executive is not satisfied the applicant is a suitable person to hold the licence.
(sec.12-ssec.3) If the chief executive decides to grant the licence, the chief executive must— grant the licence for the term stated in the application for the licence; and give the applicant the licence.
(sec.12-ssec.4) If the chief executive decides to grant the licence with a condition or to refuse to grant the licence, the chief executive must give the applicant a QCAT information notice for the decision within 14 days after the decision is made.
- (a) grant the licence, with or without conditions; or
- (b) refuse to grant the licence.
