### sec.17 Requirement to make, verify and keep record of count of persons
A nominated crew member required to carry out a count of persons under section 14 or 16 must—
make a written record of the count; and
verify the count—
by signing the record; or
if the record is made electronically—by entering the crew member’s name and unique identifier in the record.
The dive operator must keep each record made under this section for at least 1 year after the day the count is made.
Maximum penalty—12½ penalty units.
