### sch.58-sec.21 Meaning of special circumstances catch The special circumstances catch , for an applicant, is worked out using the following formula— where— C means the applicant’s special circumstances catch (expressed as a number of fish). M means the number of months during the period starting on 1 September 2021 and ending on 30 June 2023 in which the applicant caught fish on at least 1 day in the month under the applicant’s primary commercial fishing licence. N means the number of months in the applicant’s no fish period (expressed as a whole number). R means the applicant’s relevant period catch. S means the applicant’s substituted period catch.
