### sch.18-sec.3 Meaning of eligible berthing expense
An eligible berthing expense , for a round of the scheme, is an amount paid, or to be paid, for renting a berth that is—
at a privately-owned or privately-operated marina located in an eligible local government area; and
for use by an eligible boat during the prescribed period for the round.
An eligible berthing expense , for a round of the scheme, includes an amount mentioned in subsection (1) that is paid in advance.
However, the following are not eligible berthing expenses for a round of the scheme—
incidental costs of berthing an eligible boat;
the cost of electricity, water and cleaning
costs associated with ownership of a berth.

(sch.18-sec.3-ssec.1) An eligible berthing expense , for a round of the scheme, is an amount paid, or to be paid, for renting a berth that is— at a privately-owned or privately-operated marina located in an eligible local government area; and for use by an eligible boat during the prescribed period for the round.
(sch.18-sec.3-ssec.2) An eligible berthing expense , for a round of the scheme, includes an amount mentioned in subsection (1) that is paid in advance.
(sch.18-sec.3-ssec.3) However, the following are not eligible berthing expenses for a round of the scheme— incidental costs of berthing an eligible boat; the cost of electricity, water and cleaning costs associated with ownership of a berth.
- (a) at a privately-owned or privately-operated marina located in an eligible local government area; and
- (b) for use by an eligible boat during the prescribed period for the round.
