7 Application procedure for accreditation
(1) A person (the applicant) may apply to the road transport authority for
accreditation (including renewal) to operate a particular kind of
regulated service.
(b) state—
(i) the applicant’s full name; and
(ii) the kind of accreditation for the application; and
(iii) an Australian address for service of notices; and
(c) for an application for accreditation to operate a transport
booking service—include contact details for a person who will
be available at any time to deal with matters regarding the
(d) include a police certificate for each relevant person, dated not
earlier than 6 months before the date of the application.
police certificate, for a person, means a written statement by the
Australian Federal Police or the Australian Criminal Intelligence
Commission indicating—
(a) whether, according to the records held by the Australian Federal
Police or the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, the
person has been charged with, or convicted of, an offence
against a law of—
(i) the Territory; or
(ii) the Commonwealth; or
(iii) a State; or
(iv) another country; and
(b) if so—particulars of each offence.
Note A conviction does not include a spent conviction or an extinguished
conviction (see Spent Convictions Act 2000, s 16 (c) (i) and
s 19H (1) (c) (i)).
