### sec.78U Amendment of document by alteration or notation
If an agency or Minister to whom an amendment application is made decides to amend the document in relation to the personal information contained in the document the subject of the application, the agency or Minister may make the amendment by—
altering the personal information; or
adding an appropriate notation to the personal information.
If an agency or Minister adds a notation to personal information, the notation must—
state how the information is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or misleading; and
if the information is claimed to be incomplete or out of date—set out the information required to complete the information or bring it up to date.
