### sec.196 Continuation of appointment as information commissioner The person who, immediately before the commencement of section 123, was the information commissioner under the repealed Freedom of Information Act 1992 — continues as the information commissioner under this Act until an appointment is made under section 134; and is taken to have satisfied the requirements under section 140 concerning the oath. - (a) continues as the information commissioner under this Act until an appointment is made under section 134; and - (b) is taken to have satisfied the requirements under section 140 concerning the oath.
