### sec.151 Procedure before appointment
A person may be appointed as RTI commissioner only if—
the Minister has placed press advertisements nationally calling for applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for appointment; and
the Minister has consulted with the parliamentary committee about—
the process of selection for appointment; and
the appointment of the person as commissioner.
Subsection (1) (a) and (b) (i) does not apply to the reappointment of a person as RTI commissioner.
(sec.151-ssec.1) A person may be appointed as RTI commissioner only if— the Minister has placed press advertisements nationally calling for applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for appointment; and the Minister has consulted with the parliamentary committee about— the process of selection for appointment; and the appointment of the person as commissioner.
(sec.151-ssec.2) Subsection (1) (a) and (b) (i) does not apply to the reappointment of a person as RTI commissioner.
