### sec.136 Term of appointment
The information commissioner holds office for the term, of not more than 5 years, stated in the instrument of appointment.
However, a person being reappointed as information commissioner can not be reappointed for a term that would result in the person holding office as information commissioner for more than 10 years continuously.
