### sch.3-sec.10-oc.2 Rent in advance— s 87 The lessor or lessor’s agent may require the tenant to pay rent in advance only if the payment is no more than— for a periodic agreement—2 weeks rent; or for a fixed term agreement—1 month rent. Under section 87 (2) , the lessor or lessor’s agent must not require payment of rent under this agreement in a period for which rent has already been paid. - (a) for a periodic agreement—2 weeks rent; or - (b) for a fixed term agreement—1 month rent.
