### sec.84A Changes to way rent to be paid—no agreement
This section applies if, after signing a residential tenancy agreement, the lessor or lessor’s agent intends to change the way the tenant is required to pay the rent under the agreement, other than by agreement under section 84 .
The lessor or lessor’s agent must give the tenant a written notice stating a choice of at least 2 other ways for the payment of rent, including a way that—
does not incur any cost to the tenant in addition to bank fees or other account fees usually payable for the tenant’s transactions; and
is reasonably available to the tenant.
From the day that is 14 days after the tenant is given the notice, the tenant must pay the rent in a way stated in the notice.

- (a) does not incur any cost to the tenant in addition to bank fees or other account fees usually payable for the tenant’s transactions; and
- (b) is reasonably available to the tenant.
