### sec.579A Requirement for lessor to give evidence of rent increase if premises purchased within 12 months of commencement
This section applies if—
premises the subject of a residential tenancy agreement are purchased by the lessor within 12 months after the commencement; and
the lessor does not hold information about the day of the last rent increase for the premises.
New section 93A (2) does not apply to the lessor or lessor’s agent in relation to the premises.
For subsection (1) (b) , the lessor holds information if the lessor, or an agent of the lessor, is in possession or control of the information.

(sec.579A-ssec.1) This section applies if— premises the subject of a residential tenancy agreement are purchased by the lessor within 12 months after the commencement; and the lessor does not hold information about the day of the last rent increase for the premises.
(sec.579A-ssec.2) New section 93A (2) does not apply to the lessor or lessor’s agent in relation to the premises.
(sec.579A-ssec.3) For subsection (1) (b) , the lessor holds information if the lessor, or an agent of the lessor, is in possession or control of the information.
