### sec.530 Definitions for pt 2
In this part—
commencement means the day on which the provision in which the word is used commences.
corresponding provision , for a previous provision, means a provision of this Act that is substantially the same as the previous provision.
existing agreement means—
a residential tenancy agreement under the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 , in force at the commencement, that is a residential tenancy agreement under this Act; or
a residential service agreement under the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 , in force at the commencement, that is either of the following under this Act—
a rooming accommodation agreement;
a residential tenancy agreement.
previous provision means a provision of either of the following as in force immediately before the commencement—
the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 ;
the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 .
repealed Act means either of the following in force immediately before the commencement—
the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 ;
the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 .
- (a) a residential tenancy agreement under the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 , in force at the commencement, that is a residential tenancy agreement under this Act; or
- (b) a residential service agreement under the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 , in force at the commencement, that is either of the following under this Act— (i) a rooming accommodation agreement; (ii) a residential tenancy agreement.
- (i) a rooming accommodation agreement;
- (ii) a residential tenancy agreement.
- (i) a rooming accommodation agreement;
- (ii) a residential tenancy agreement.
- (a) the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 ;
- (b) the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 .
- (a) the Residential Tenancies Act 1994 ;
- (b) the Residential Services (Accommodation) Act 2002 .
