### sec.470 Reserve power of Minister to give directions in public interest
The Minister may give the authority a written direction if the Minister is satisfied it is necessary to give the direction in the public interest because of exceptional circumstances.
The authority must ensure the direction is complied with.
Before giving a direction, the Minister must consult with the authority.
The Minister must cause a copy of the direction to be gazetted within 21 days after it is given.
