### sec.205 Tenant’s name and other details
If the lessor or the lessor’s agent asks the tenant the tenant’s name or place of employment, the tenant must not give a false name or place of employment.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
When handing over possession of the premises, the tenant must tell the lessor or lessor’s agent the tenant’s new residential address, unless the tenant has a reasonable excuse for not telling the lessor or agent the new address.

Subsection (2) —
applies only if the lessor or lessor’s agent asks the tenant in writing to state the new address; but
does not apply to a tenant who, after experiencing domestic violence, ended the residential tenancy agreement, or the tenant’s interest in the residential tenancy agreement, under chapter 5 , part 1 , division 3 , subdivision 2A .
