### sec.197 Entry to show premises to a prospective tenant
The lessor or lessor’s agent may enter the premises under section 192 (1) (f) to show the premises to a prospective tenant only if—
a notice to leave the premises is given to the tenant before, or when, the entry notice is given to the tenant; or
a notice of intention to leave the premises has been given to the lessor by the tenant.
The lessor or agent must not allow a prospective tenant to enter the premises unless accompanied by the lessor or agent.
However, a lessor or agent may allow a prospective tenant to enter without being accompanied by the lessor or agent if the tenant agrees.
For an entry under section 192 (1) (f) , the lessor or agent is also required to give an entry notice to the tenant under section 193 (1) .
(sec.197-ssec.1) The lessor or lessor’s agent may enter the premises under section 192 (1) (f) to show the premises to a prospective tenant only if— a notice to leave the premises is given to the tenant before, or when, the entry notice is given to the tenant; or a notice of intention to leave the premises has been given to the lessor by the tenant.
(sec.197-ssec.2) The lessor or agent must not allow a prospective tenant to enter the premises unless accompanied by the lessor or agent.
(sec.197-ssec.3) However, a lessor or agent may allow a prospective tenant to enter without being accompanied by the lessor or agent if the tenant agrees. For an entry under section 192 (1) (f) , the lessor or agent is also required to give an entry notice to the tenant under section 193 (1) .
- (a) a notice to leave the premises is given to the tenant before, or when, the entry notice is given to the tenant; or
- (b) a notice of intention to leave the premises has been given to the lessor by the tenant.
