### sec.16 Regional interests development approval A regional interests development approval is an approval issued under section 53 that approves the carrying out of a resource activity or regulated activity in an area of regional interest following an assessment of the extent of the expected impact of the activity on the area. A regional interests development approval includes any regional interest conditions of the approval.
