### sec.88 Extension of time
This section applies if the polling day for a referendum is the same day as the polling day for an election and the time for holding the election is extended under the Constitution of Queensland 2001 , section 19B or Electoral Act 1992 , section 86 .
If the extension of time for holding the election relates only to a particular electoral district, the day on which the election is to be held in that district is to be taken to be the polling day for the referendum in that district.
In any other case, the day on which the election is to be held is to be taken to be the polling day for the referendum.
