### sec.32C Audit of electronically assisted voting for a referendum
The commission must appoint an independent person to audit the information technology used under the procedures for electronically assisted voting made under section 32B .
The audit must be conducted—
at least 7 days before the cut-off day for electoral rolls for the referendum; and
within 60 days after the polling day for the referendum.
A person appointed under subsection (1) must be an individual who is not, and has not ever been, a member of a political party.
The person appointed to conduct the audit may make recommendations to the commission to reduce or eliminate risks that could affect the security, accuracy or secrecy of electronically assisted voting.
A regulation may prescribe requirements about the conduct of an audit under this section.
