### sec.101 Transitional provision—petition disputing referendum
If, immediately before the commencement day, there was a petition filed under section 49 that had not been finally dealt with by the Court of Disputed Returns, the petition is taken to be an application under that section.
The commencement day is 25 May 2001.
In this section—
commencement day means the day that the amendments of this Act in the Electoral and Other Acts Amendment Act 2001 , schedule 2 , commenced.
