### sec.73A Dental practitioners This section applies in relation to the following persons— dentists; dental hygienists; dental therapists; oral health therapists. For section 103K (1) (a) and (2) (a) of the Act , the classes of persons mentioned in subsection (1) are prescribed. For section 103K (2) (b) of the Act , the radiation source a prescribed licensee under this section is allowed to use is an intra-oral dental plain diagnostic imaging x-ray radiation apparatus. For section 103K (2) (c) of the Act , the radiation practice a prescribed licensee under this section is allowed to carry out is intra-oral dental plain diagnostic imaging involving the irradiation of a person. In this section— dental hygienist means a person registered under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law to practise in the dental hygienists division of the dental profession, other than as a student. s 73A ins 2024 SL No. 92 s 17 amd 2025 SL No. 121 s 13 (sec.73A-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to the following persons— dentists; dental hygienists; dental therapists; oral health therapists.
