### sec.31 Security equipment— Act , s 34A
For section 34A (5) of the Act , definition security measures , the following measures are prescribed—
the installation and use of security equipment to protect the security enhanced source;
the checking of the security equipment for wear and tear or correct operation.
The measure prescribed under subsection (1) (a) includes the following details for each threat level—
the security equipment that is to be used;
how the security equipment is to be used.
The measure prescribed under subsection (1) (b) includes each of the following details for each type of security equipment for each threat level—
the checks to be undertaken to test wear and tear or correct operation of the equipment;
the expected outcome of each check;
the person who is to check the equipment, described by reference to the abilities of the person to perform the task;
the interval at which the equipment is to be checked;
how the actual outcome of the checks of the equipment is to be recorded;
if the actual outcome of a check of the equipment is different from the expected outcome—the procedure to be followed to fix the deficiency;
the procedures to be followed before, during and after a technical service of the equipment.
(sec.31-ssec.1) For section 34A (5) of the Act , definition security measures , the following measures are prescribed— the installation and use of security equipment to protect the security enhanced source; the checking of the security equipment for wear and tear or correct operation.
(sec.31-ssec.2) The measure prescribed under subsection (1) (a) includes the following details for each threat level— the security equipment that is to be used; how the security equipment is to be used.
(sec.31-ssec.3) The measure prescribed under subsection (1) (b) includes each of the following details for each type of security equipment for each threat level— the checks to be undertaken to test wear and tear or correct operation of the equipment; the expected outcome of each check; the person who is to check the equipment, described by reference to the abilities of the person to perform the task; the interval at which the equipment is to be checked; how the actual outcome of the checks of the equipment is to be recorded; if the actual outcome of a check of the equipment is different from the expected outcome—the procedure to be followed to fix the deficiency; the procedures to be followed before, during and after a technical service of the equipment.
