### sec.215 Regulation-making power
The Governor in Council may make regulations under this Act.
A regulation may be made about the following—
the setting of radiation dose limits;
accreditation certificates, radiation safety officer certificates, approvals or licences;
certificates of compliance for—
radiation sources; or
premises at which radioactive substances are stored; or
premises at which radiation sources are used to carry out radiation practices;
the disposal of—
radiation sources or radioactive material; or
containers that have been used for the transport or storage of radioactive material; or
apparatus that once contained a sealed radioactive substance;
the irradiation of persons for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes;
the way in which the concentration or activity of the radionuclide in radioactive material is to be decided;
matters relating to the security of radiation sources to prevent or minimise risks to any person or harm to the environment;
fees, including the refunding of fees, for this Act;
the keeping of the register for this Act;
imposing a penalty of not more than 20 penalty units for a contravention of a provision of a regulation.
For the definition radioactive substance in schedule 2 , different prescriptions of the concentration or activity of a radionuclide may be made, having regard to the provision in which the term is used or is relevant.
A particular prescription of the concentration or activity of a radionuclide may be made in relation to the term radioactive substance for the operation of section 14 .
Subsection (3) does not limit the operation of the Statutory Instruments Act 1992 , sections 24 and 25 .

(sec.215-ssec.1) The Governor in Council may make regulations under this Act.
(sec.215-ssec.2) A regulation may be made about the following— the setting of radiation dose limits; accreditation certificates, radiation safety officer certificates, approvals or licences; certificates of compliance for— radiation sources; or premises at which radioactive substances are stored; or premises at which radiation sources are used to carry out radiation practices; the disposal of— radiation sources or radioactive material; or containers that have been used for the transport or storage of radioactive material; or apparatus that once contained a sealed radioactive substance; the irradiation of persons for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes; the way in which the concentration or activity of the radionuclide in radioactive material is to be decided; matters relating to the security of radiation sources to prevent or minimise risks to any person or harm to the environment; fees, including the refunding of fees, for this Act; the keeping of the register for this Act; imposing a penalty of not more than 20 penalty units for a contravention of a provision of a regulation.
(sec.215-ssec.3) For the definition radioactive substance in schedule 2 , different prescriptions of the concentration or activity of a radionuclide may be made, having regard to the provision in which the term is used or is relevant. A particular prescription of the concentration or activity of a radionuclide may be made in relation to the term radioactive substance for the operation of section 14 .
(sec.215-ssec.4) Subsection (3) does not limit the operation of the Statutory Instruments Act 1992 , sections 24 and 25 .
- (a) the setting of radiation dose limits;
- (b) accreditation certificates, radiation safety officer certificates, approvals or licences;
- (c) certificates of compliance for— (i) radiation sources; or (ii) premises at which radioactive substances are stored; or (iii) premises at which radiation sources are used to carry out radiation practices;
- (i) radiation sources; or
- (ii) premises at which radioactive substances are stored; or
- (iii) premises at which radiation sources are used to carry out radiation practices;
- (d) the disposal of— (i) radiation sources or radioactive material; or (ii) containers that have been used for the transport or storage of radioactive material; or (iii) apparatus that once contained a sealed radioactive substance;
- (i) radiation sources or radioactive material; or
- (ii) containers that have been used for the transport or storage of radioactive material; or
- (iii) apparatus that once contained a sealed radioactive substance;
- (e) the irradiation of persons for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes;
- (f) the way in which the concentration or activity of the radionuclide in radioactive material is to be decided;
- (fa) matters relating to the security of radiation sources to prevent or minimise risks to any person or harm to the environment;
- (g) fees, including the refunding of fees, for this Act;
- (h) the keeping of the register for this Act;
- (i) imposing a penalty of not more than 20 penalty units for a contravention of a provision of a regulation.
- (i) radiation sources; or
- (ii) premises at which radioactive substances are stored; or
- (iii) premises at which radiation sources are used to carry out radiation practices;
- (i) radiation sources or radioactive material; or
- (ii) containers that have been used for the transport or storage of radioactive material; or
