### sec.17 Obligations of possession licensees
A possession licensee who, under the licence, possesses a radiation source for a radiation practice must ensure the source is not used to carry out the practice unless—
the source complies with the relevant radiation safety standard; and
if the source is to be used to carry out the practice at premises—the premises comply with the relevant radiation safety standard.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
A possession licensee who, under the licence, possesses a radioactive substance must not store the substance, or allow the substance to be stored, on premises that do not comply with the relevant radiation safety standard.
