### sec.163 Membership of council The council consists of at least 8, but not more than 15, members, made up of— the chief health officer; and at least 6, but not more than 13, persons (the appointed members ) who have experience in, or knowledge of— the carrying out of radiation practices; or the transportation of radioactive material; or ways of preventing or minimising health risks to any person, or harm to the environment, in so far as exposure to radiation is concerned; and at least 1 representative from the community (also an appointed member ).
