### sec.9 Anzac Square
The council has the following functions relating to Anzac Square—
to act as trustee of Anzac Square reserve under the Land Act 1994 ;
to manage, maintain, preserve and develop Anzac Square as a memorial to honour the service and sacrifice of Queenslanders and other Australians in war, conflict, peacekeeping and peacemaking;
to approve and oversee the staging of ceremonial activities and events at Anzac Square to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Queenslanders and other Australians in war, conflict, peacekeeping and peacemaking;
to approve, manage and promote public programs at Anzac Square to inform, educate and promote understanding among Queenslanders and visitors about the history, experiences, service and sacrifice of Queenslanders and other Australians in war, conflict, peacekeeping and peacemaking;
to manage and maintain the cultural heritage significance of Anzac Square.

- (d) to approve, manage and promote public programs at Anzac Square to inform, educate and promote understanding among Queenslanders and visitors about the history, experiences, service and sacrifice of Queenslanders and other Australians in war, conflict, peacekeeping and peacemaking;
- (e) to manage and maintain the cultural heritage significance of Anzac Square.
