### sec.96 Direction for authority to undertake works
This section applies if the Minister is satisfied that, for the effective and efficient carrying out of a reconstruction function of the authority, it is necessary or desirable for particular works to be undertaken by the authority.
A regulation may direct the authority to undertake the works.
If a regulation directs the authority to undertake the works, the State Development Act , sections 110 , 111 (2) to (4) and 112 apply in relation to the direction as if—
the references in the sections to section 109 were a reference to this section; and
the references in the sections to the Coordinator-General were references to the authority; and
the reference in section 110 (1) of that Act to ‘or other person directed under the section’ were omitted; and
the reference in section 110 (2) of that Act to ‘or by another person on behalf of the Coordinator-General’ were omitted.
