### sec.111 Procedures before exercising particular power
Before a power is exercised under section 112 , the Minister must give notice of the proposed exercise of the power to the local government to be affected by the exercise of the power.
However, notice need not be given if the power is proposed to be exercised at the local government’s request.
The notice must state—
the reasons for the proposed exercise of the power; and
a period within which the local government may make submissions to the Minister about the proposed exercise of the power.
The Minister must consider any submissions made under subsection (3) and advise the local government that the Minister has decided—
not to exercise the power; or
to exercise the power.
If the Minister decides to exercise the power, the Minister must advise the local government the reasons for deciding to exercise the power.
(sec.111-ssec.1) Before a power is exercised under section 112 , the Minister must give notice of the proposed exercise of the power to the local government to be affected by the exercise of the power.

- (b) a period within which the local government may make submissions to the Minister about the proposed exercise of the power.

- (b) to exercise the power.
