### sec.19 Functions and powers of commissioner The main functions of the commissioner are as follows— to manage the commission in a way that ensures the commission performs its functions under this Act effectively and efficiently; to make recommendations to the Minister about any matter that— relates to the performance or exercise of the commissioner’s or commission’s functions or powers; and may help the Minister in the proper administration of this Act; to manage the staff of the commission in accordance with the requirements of this Act and the Public Sector Act 2022 . The commissioner’s functions also include any other function given to the commissioner under this Act or another Act.
