### sec.50 Continuation of existing appointment—council members
This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment as a member of the council under the repealed Act, section 5.
From the commencement—
the person’s appointment as a member of the council continues under this Act subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment; and
if the person was appointed as chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as chairperson under section 14; and
if the person was appointed as deputy chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as deputy chairperson under section 14.
(sec.50-ssec.1) This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencement, held an appointment as a member of the council under the repealed Act, section 5.
(sec.50-ssec.2) From the commencement— the person’s appointment as a member of the council continues under this Act subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment; and if the person was appointed as chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as chairperson under section 14; and if the person was appointed as deputy chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as deputy chairperson under section 14.
- (a) the person’s appointment as a member of the council continues under this Act subject to the terms and conditions of the person’s instrument of appointment; and
- (b) if the person was appointed as chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as chairperson under section 14; and
- (c) if the person was appointed as deputy chair under the repealed Act, section 5C, the person is taken to be appointed as deputy chairperson under section 14.
