### sec.83 Application of pt 8 This part applies to a local government prescribed by regulation. The Minister may recommend to the Governor in Council the making of a regulation under subsection (1) only if the Minister is satisfied the local government has appropriate procedures in place for exercising a power under section 84 in relation to the local government. A regulation may prescribe matters the Minister must consider in being satisfied that a local government has appropriate procedures in place. s 83 ins 2007 No. 50 s 29 sub 2014 No. 61 s 46 (sec.83-ssec.1) This part applies to a local government prescribed by regulation. (sec.83-ssec.2) The Minister may recommend to the Governor in Council the making of a regulation under subsection (1) only if the Minister is satisfied the local government has appropriate procedures in place for exercising a power under section 84 in relation to the local government.
