### sec.175 Delegation by Minister or chief executive
The Minister may delegate the Minister’s functions under this Act to—
the chairperson of the council; or
a local government; or
an appropriately qualified public service officer.
The chief executive may delegate the chief executive’s functions under this Act, other than a function under section 84 or 92 (1) , to an appropriately qualified public service officer.
Also, the chief executive may delegate a function of the chief executive under part 6 , division 2 , other than a function under section 75 , to an appropriately qualified person.
In this section—
function includes power.

(sec.175-ssec.1) The Minister may delegate the Minister’s functions under this Act to— the chairperson of the council; or a local government; or an appropriately qualified public service officer.
(sec.175-ssec.2) The chief executive may delegate the chief executive’s functions under this Act, other than a function under section 84 or 92 (1) , to an appropriately qualified public service officer.
(sec.175-ssec.3) Also, the chief executive may delegate a function of the chief executive under part 6 , division 2 , other than a function under section 75 , to an appropriately qualified person.
(sec.175-ssec.4) In this section— function includes power.
- (a) the chairperson of the council; or
- (b) a local government; or
- (c) an appropriately qualified public service officer.
