### sec.171 Immunity
No liability is incurred by the Minister, the council, any member of the council, or another person acting in the administration of this Act, for an honest act or omission in the exercise or purported exercise of functions under this Act.
A liability that would, apart from this section, attach to a person attaches to the State.
This section does not apply to a person who is a prescribed person under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 267 .
For protection from civil liability in relation to prescribed persons under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 267 , see the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 269 .
