### sec.164D Education and public benefit orders
If a person is convicted of an offence, the court may, on application by the prosecution, make either or both of the following orders against the person—
an education order;
a public benefit order.
The order must state the period within which the person must comply with the order.
The order is in addition to the imposition of a penalty and any other order under this Act.
This section does not limit the court’s powers under the Penalties and Sentences Act 1992 or any other law.
In this section—
education order means an order requiring the person against whom it is made to conduct a stated advertising or education campaign to promote compliance with this Act or the Planning Act , section 163 (1) or 164 .
offence means—
an offence against the following—
section 76
section 84 (6)
section 89
section 90
section 91
section 104
section 155 ; or
an offence against the Planning Act , section 163 (1) or 164 in relation to development on a Queensland heritage place.
public benefit order means an order requiring the person against whom it is made to carry out a stated activity—
to restore or enhance a Queensland heritage place; or
for the public benefit.
