### sec.16 Leave of absence for a member
The Minister may approve a leave of absence for a member of more than 3 months.
The Minister may appoint another person to act in the office of the member while the member is absent on the approved leave.
If the member is the deputy chairperson, the Minister may appoint another member to act in the deputy chairperson’s office while the deputy chairperson is absent on the approved leave.

(sec.16-ssec.1) The Minister may approve a leave of absence for a member of more than 3 months.
