### sec.43 Exchange of information The operator may ask an official for any information relevant to the operator performing a function mentioned in section 8 (1) (a) , (b) or (c) . An official may ask the operator for any information relevant to the operator performing a function of the official. The official or operator is authorised to give the information requested under subsection (1) or (2) . Also, the official is authorised to give information to the operator in relation to achieving the main purpose of this Act as mentioned in section 3 (2) (b) . To remove any doubt, it is declared that this section authorises the use and disclosure of personal information within the meaning of the Information Privacy Act 2009 , section 12 .
