### sec.170A Application of part to partnerships and joint ventures This section applies if a water supplier (a water body ) is a partnership or joint venture consisting of 2 or more entities (the participants ). If this part requires or permits something to be done by a water body, the thing may be done by 1 or more of the participants for the water body. If a provision of this part refers to a water body doing something, the provision applies as if the provision referred to 1 or more of the participants for the water body doing the thing for the water body. Subsection (5) applies if— a provision of this part requires a water body to do something, or prohibits a water body from doing something; and a contravention of the provision is an offence. The provision mentioned in subsection (4) applies as if a reference to the water body were a reference to any person responsible for the day-to-day management and control of the water body. Subsection (7) applies if— a provision of this part requires a water body to do something, or prohibits a water body from doing something; and a contravention of the provision is not an offence.
