### sec.19 Refund of licence fee
The commission may refund the unexpired part of the licence fee paid by a licensee if—
the licensee surrenders the licence before the expiry day for the licence; or
the licensee dies during the licence period.
The unexpired part is the amount worked out using the formula—
where—
LF means the licence fee paid by the licensee, whether for a 1 year or a 3 year period.
WM means the number of whole months before the expiry date for the licence.
Y means the number of years for which the licence was renewed.
For subsection (2) , a whole month means a month beginning on the day of the calendar month on which the licence was issued and ending on the day before the corresponding day of the next calendar month.
for a licence issued on 1 September in a year—a month beginning on the first day of any month and ending on the last day of that month
for a licence issued on 7 March in a year—a month beginning on the seventh day of any month and ending on the sixth day of the next month
