### sec.12 Qualifications and experience for contractor’s licence— Act , s 31 For section 31 (1) (b) of the Act , the qualifications and experience in relation to a licence are the qualifications and experience stated in schedule 2 for the relevant class of licence. Also, for a class of licence other than a class mentioned in schedule 2 , any of parts 18 , 19 , 22A to 33 , 36 and 56 , a combination of 2 or more of the following is a qualification for the class if the commission is satisfied the combination is at least equivalent to the required competency for the class— successful completion of an apprenticeship; a recognition certificate; a qualification or statement of attainment of the required competency for any class of licence mentioned in schedule 2 ; a written statement issued by an approved authority that the individual has the required competency for the class of licence. In this section— approved authority means— a registered training organisation; or another entity approved by the commission. recognition certificate means a recognition certificate issued under the repealed Vocational Education, Training and Employment Act 2000 , that has not been cancelled. required competency , for a class of licence, means units of competency approved by the commission as the minimum technical requirements for the class. statement of attainment means a VET statement of attainment under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cwlth) . s 12 amd 2020 SL No. 223 s 22 (sec.12-ssec.1) For section 31 (1) (b) of the Act , the qualifications and experience in relation to a licence are the qualifications and experience stated in schedule 2 for the relevant class of licence.
