### sec.83 Proceeding in tribunal does not affect action by commission
If a proceeding about a building dispute is started in, or removed from, a court to the tribunal, the commission is not prevented from acting in relation to the dispute.
Without limiting subsection (1) , the commission may—
decide whether or not to give a direction to rectify or remedy; or
decide to allow or disallow a claim under the statutory insurance scheme.

(sec.83-ssec.1) If a proceeding about a building dispute is started in, or removed from, a court to the tribunal, the commission is not prevented from acting in relation to the dispute.
(sec.83-ssec.2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the commission may— decide whether or not to give a direction to rectify or remedy; or decide to allow or disallow a claim under the statutory insurance scheme.
