### sec.67AS Meaning of judgment debt
A judgment debt is the amount, for which judgment has been entered in a court of competent jurisdiction, owing by a building contractor—
in relation to a building contract or a domestic building contract; or
for goods or services supplied for—
building work to be carried out under a building contract; or
domestic building work to be carried out under a domestic building contract; or
to the commission for a claim under the statutory insurance scheme.
Judgment must be entered after the commencement of this section.
However, the circumstances giving rise to the judgment debt may have arisen before the commencement of this section.

(sec.67AS-ssec.1) A judgment debt is the amount, for which judgment has been entered in a court of competent jurisdiction, owing by a building contractor— in relation to a building contract or a domestic building contract; or for goods or services supplied for— building work to be carried out under a building contract; or domestic building work to be carried out under a domestic building contract; or to the commission for a claim under the statutory insurance scheme.
(sec.67AS-ssec.2) Judgment must be entered after the commencement of this section.
(sec.67AS-ssec.3) However, the circumstances giving rise to the judgment debt may have arisen before the commencement of this section.
- (a) in relation to a building contract or a domestic building contract; or
- (b) for goods or services supplied for— (i) building work to be carried out under a building contract; or (ii) domestic building work to be carried out under a domestic building contract; or
- (i) building work to be carried out under a building contract; or
- (ii) domestic building work to be carried out under a domestic building contract; or
- (c) to the commission for a claim under the statutory insurance scheme.
