### sec.117A Treasurer to pay claimant If— a person (the claimant ) claims to be entitled to receive an amount paid into the consolidated fund under section 25 (2) ; and the public trustee is satisfied the claimant is entitled to receive the amount claimed; the public trustee must pay the amount claimed to the claimant. The Treasurer must reimburse the public trustee out of the consolidated fund for the amount paid by the public trustee under subsection (1) if the Treasurer is advised by the public trustee that the public trustee has paid the amount claimed to the claimant. If the amount or part of the amount is later claimed by someone else (the later claimant )— the State, the Treasurer and the public trustee are not responsible for the payment to the later claimant of the amount claimed by the later claimant; but the later claimant may have recourse against the claimant to whom the amount was paid. s 117A ins 1994 No. 24 s 3 (1) sch amd 2010 No. 26 s 122 (sec.117A-ssec.1) If— a person (the claimant ) claims to be entitled to receive an amount paid into the consolidated fund under section 25 (2) ; and the public trustee is satisfied the claimant is entitled to receive the amount claimed; the public trustee must pay the amount claimed to the claimant.
