### sec.12E Preparation of standard
A public service agency may prepare its own standard of practice.
The commissioner may issue guidelines for the preparation of a standard of practice by a public service agency.
If a public service agency prepares a standard of practice, the chief executive officer of the agency must ensure that reasonable steps are taken to consult about the standard of practice with—
public officials to whom the standard is to apply; and
industrial organisations representing the interests of a public official mentioned in paragraph (a) ; and
other appropriate entities representing the interests of a public official mentioned in paragraph (a) .

(sec.12E-ssec.1) A public service agency may prepare its own standard of practice.
(sec.12E-ssec.2) The commissioner may issue guidelines for the preparation of a standard of practice by a public service agency.
(sec.12E-ssec.3) If a public service agency prepares a standard of practice, the chief executive officer of the agency must ensure that reasonable steps are taken to consult about the standard of practice with— public officials to whom the standard is to apply; and industrial organisations representing the interests of a public official mentioned in paragraph (a) ; and other appropriate entities representing the interests of a public official mentioned in paragraph (a) .
