### sec.229 Relationship with industrial instrument This section applies if a directive deals with a matter all or part of which is dealt with under an industrial instrument. The industrial instrument prevails over the directive to the extent of any inconsistency. For subsection (2) , a directive is not inconsistent with an industrial instrument to the extent the overall employment conditions provided for in the directive are at least as favourable as the overall employment conditions provided for in the industrial instrument. In this section— directive includes a decision made in the exercise of a discretion under a directive. (sec.229-ssec.1) This section applies if a directive deals with a matter all or part of which is dealt with under an industrial instrument. (sec.229-ssec.2) The industrial instrument prevails over the directive to the extent of any inconsistency. (sec.229-ssec.3) For subsection (2) , a directive is not inconsistent with an industrial instrument to the extent the overall employment conditions provided for in the directive are at least as favourable as the overall employment conditions provided for in the industrial instrument.
