### sec.219 Acting as commissioner The Minister may appoint a person to act as the commissioner during any period or all periods when— there is a vacancy in the office; or the commissioner is absent from duty or is, for another reason, unable to perform the functions of the commissioner. It does not matter whether the appointee is or is not already a public service officer.
