### sec.164 Voluntary retirement A public service officer or a general employee may by signed notice given to the officer’s or employee’s chief executive, elect to retire from the public service if— the officer or employee is 55 years or more; or the officer or employee is permitted to retire under a directive. - (a) the officer or employee is 55 years or more; or - (b) the officer or employee is permitted to retire under a directive.
