### sec.153 Purposes of senior officer positions Senior officer positions are continued to— promote the public service’s effectiveness and efficiency; and ensure there is a group of highly skilled public service officers who are capable of development as senior executives. Employment as a senior officer is to be directed towards— developing a public service-wide perspective; and continuance of the officer’s professional development.
