### sec.8E Function and powers of terrorist emergency forward commander The terrorist emergency forward commander appointed for a terrorist emergency site is the police forward commander for, and responsible for the management and control of— the terrorist emergency site and on-site investigation; and if a terrorist emergency is declared under section 8G —the terrorist emergency. The terrorist emergency forward commander has, for the commander’s function in relation to a terrorist emergency, the powers that an emergency commander has for an emergency situation under section 7A and part 2 , divisions 2 and 3 . For subsection (2) , in section 7A and part 2 , divisions 2 and 3 — a reference to the emergency situation certificate includes a reference to the terrorist emergency certificate; and a reference to an emergency situation includes a reference to a terrorist emergency; and a reference to the emergency commander includes a reference to the terrorist emergency forward commander. For the purpose of the powers of a police officer acting on the terrorist emergency forward commander’s instructions, a reference in part 2 , division 2 or 3 to a police officer acting on the emergency commander’s instructions includes a reference to a police officer acting on the terrorist emergency forward commander’s instructions. Subsections (2) to (4) do not limit other powers of the terrorist emergency forward commander or of a police officer acting on the commander’s instructions.
