### sec.43F Surveillance device authorisation authorises use of existing device
This section applies to a surveillance device authorisation that authorises the use of a surveillance device on premises, or in or on a vehicle, object or class of vehicle or object.
The surveillance device authorisation also authorises the use of a device (an existing device ) that is on the premises, or in or on the vehicle or object, or a vehicle or object of the class, as a surveillance device.

This section applies—
whether or not it is necessary to do anything to or in relation to the existing device to enable it to be used as a surveillance device; and
subject to any conditions of the surveillance device authorisation.

(sec.43F-ssec.1) This section applies to a surveillance device authorisation that authorises the use of a surveillance device on premises, or in or on a vehicle, object or class of vehicle or object.
