### sec.83 Proceedings for damage and disposal offences A proceeding for an offence against section 22 or 23 is to be heard and decided summarily. A proceeding for the offence must start within the later of the following periods to end— 1 year after the offence was allegedly committed; 6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 3 years after the offence was allegedly committed. (sec.83-ssec.1) A proceeding for an offence against section 22 or 23 is to be heard and decided summarily.
